Please note that we close the application for the tutorial session (afternoon) since the number of applications exceeded our capacity for the tutorial session. If you have any special reasons to attend the tutorial session this time, we may accept a few more. Please write the reason in the application. Applications for the lecture session (morning) is still open (added Oct. 25).
Accommodation
University of Tsukuba locates about 3 km north from Tsukuba station. There is a limousine bus service from international airports in Tokyo (both Narita and Haneda airports) to Tsukuba station. We expect most participants to stay at hotels near Tsukuba station.
For foreign participants, we have reserved a block of rooms at the hotel, Okura Frontier Tsukuba. The hotel is very close, one-block east, to Tsukuba station. A discount rate of 9,000 yen per night (incl. breakfast and tax) applies if you reserve through us.
Japanese participants are kindly requested to reserve their rooms by themselves. There are several hotels near Tsukuba station: Okura Frontier Tsukuba, Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Epochal, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Tsukuba, Hotel Grand Shinonome. Since the period of the symposium is a highly touristic season, we recommend to reserve your room at your earliest convenience.
