Venue

International School on Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory and SALMON Hands-on Tutorial will take place during Nov. 12-13, 2018 at Center for Computational Sciences, University of Tsukuba, Japan.

Date and Time: Nov. 12-13, 2018
Place: Center for Computational Sciences, University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Japan (Access)
Language: English
Registration Fee: Free (A fee will be charged for Get Together Party)

Right after the school, International Symposium on Ab Initio Electron Dyamics Simulations will take place during Nov. 14-16, 2018 at the International Congress Center EPOCHAL, Tsukuba, Japan.

We will assist some school participants from Japan and Asian countries financially. We closed the application for the support since the requests exceeded our budget (added Oct. 3).

We welcome your participation and look forward to seeing you in November!

Schedule

In morning sessions, lectures on basics of time-dependent density functional theory and related subjects will be given. Four lecturers will give lectures: Prof. E.K.U. Gross (MPI-Halle), Prog. G.F. Bertsch (Univ. Washington), Prof. K. Burke (Univ. California Irvine), and Prof. K. Yabana (Univ. Tsukuba). In afternoon sessions, a hands-on tutorial to run a TDDFT program package SALMON using super-computer is planned. Although we encourage you to participate in both lecture and tutorial sessions, you may attend either one of them.

We close the application for the tutorial session (afternoon) since the applications exceeded our capacity for the tutorial session. We still accept applications for the lecture session (morning).
